Day 69 | Reasoning with God

Sunday, April 10, 2022

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.– Isaiah 1:18

With the confession of the repenting, believing sinner, Christ mingles His own righteousness, that the prayer of fallen man may go up as fragrant incense before the Father, and the grace of God be imparted to the believing soul. Jesus says to the trembling, repenting soul: “Let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me” (Isaiah 27:5). “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). Will you let Him reason with you? Will you commit to Him the keeping of your soul as unto a faithful Creator? Come then, and let us live in the light of His countenance, and pray, as did David, “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow” (Psalm 51:7). By faith apply the blood of Christ to your heart, for that alone can make you whiter than snow. But you say, “This surrender of all my idols will break my heart.” This giving up of all for God is represented by your falling upon the Rock and being broken. Then give up all for Him; for unless you are broken, you are worthless. {1SM 329.2}

“Come, now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Can we not believe the promise of God, and know that he will do for us just what he has promised? We need the vital touch of faith, that we may know that the mercy of God is extended toward us. God accepts us through Christ, and we are not to feel that we are of no value in his sight. He sent his only begotten Son into the world to die for us, and we are to value ourselves in the light of the cross of Calvary. Jesus declares: “I will make a man more precious than gold, even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.” And we may all be made precious in Christ; for he says to those who feel their own weakness, “Let him take hold of my strength, and make peace with me, and he shall make peace with me.” {BEcho February 15, 1892, par. 8}

Heart Questions:  By faith are you applying the blood of Christ to your heart so that you can become white than snow, by asking him to purge you with hyssop to be clean and wash you   Do you sincerely repenting so that with trembling repentance you are taking hold of God’s strength so that He will make peace with you?

  1. Please pray like David that God will create new heart in you, to renew a right spirit, and that God will wash you thoroughly from your iniquity and cleaning you from your sins.
  2. Pray for more faith in the healing power of God. Pray for power to adopt consecrated spirit
  3. Pray that church members in Panama would understand that the Seventh-day Adventist Church is a prophetic movement with a prophetic message entrusted by heaven with a very special prophetic mission, and now is the time to shine for God’s glory.
  4. Pray for the local church members spiritual healing and restoration so that they will take hold of God’s strength, make peace with God, and for God to make peace with them.
