Day 73 | As Sons and Daughters

Thursday, April 14, 2022

“As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.”

– John 1:12

This power is not in the human agent. It is the power of God. When a soul receives Christ, he receives power to live the life of Christ. {COL 314.5}

God requires perfection of His children. His law is a transcript of His own character, and it is the standard of all character. This infinite standard is presented to all that there may be no mistake in regard to the kind of people whom God will have to compose His kingdom. The life of Christ on earth was a perfect expression of God’s law, and when those who claim to be children of God become Christlike in character, they will be obedient to God’s commandments. Then the Lord can trust them to be of the number who shall compose the family of heaven. Clothed in the glorious apparel of Christ’s righteousness, they have a place at the King’s feast. They have a right to join the blood-washed throng. {COL 315.1}.

As we receive Christ He will give us the power to become His Son or His daughter because of the belief we have in Him and in His name.

  1. Pray for our sons and daughters that they will know the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray that they will the son/daughter that Christ wants you to be.
  2. Pray for single people who feel very lonely at this time. Pray for them to see the blessings of singleness as it relates to serving God. Pray that if it is God’s will, that they will find godly spouses.
  3. Pray for God’s protection for sons/daughters for the weak, and vulnerable, who are forced to stay home with abusive family members or who live in difficult foster homes.
  4. Pray for the willingness and ability to implement all of God’s natural health principles in you being a son or daughter of God.
  5. Pray that church members in Guadalupe would understand that the Seventh-day Adventist Church is a prophetic movement with a prophetic message entrusted by heaven with a very special prophetic mission, and now is the time to shine for God’s glory.
