That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:
-Psalms 144:12
We have been taken as rough stones out of the quarry of the world by the cleaver of truth and placed in the workshop of God. He who has genuine faith in Christ as his personal Saviour, will find that the truth accomplishes a definite work for him. His faith is working faith, and faith works by love, and purifies the soul. The Lord Jesus has paid the ransom money for us; He has given His own life in order that those who believe on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Those who receive the truth by faith will bear testimony to the quality of the faith they exercise. They will continually make improvements, looking unto Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. We cannot create our faith; but we can be colaborers with Christ in promoting the growth and triumph of faith…. {TDG 219.2}
The work of Christ in the heart does not destroy man’s powers. Christ directs, strengthens, ennobles, and sanctifies the faculties of the soul. It is through personal acquaintance with Him that we become qualified to represent His character to the world. John says, “As many as receive him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). And again, “Of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace” (verse 16). {TDG 219.3}.
As youths, as we grow in Christ let us allow the Holy Spirit to give us the strength to become polished corner stones, polished in His likeness.
Heart Questions: Jesus wants to plant His character as corner stones, polished after His similitude. He knows every person you come in contact with. As youths, we have the privilege to interact with one another and be a light to each other. Will you pray for opportunities to build polished corner stones for the purpose of witnessing about Jesus’ love for those our we come in contact with? Are you willing to have a personal encounter with Him so that we as a youth can represent Him?
- Pray for many, young and old, who are struggling with media addictions.
- Pray that our youths will be willing and have the ability to implement all of God’s natural health principles in their life
- Pray that church members in Martinique would understand that the Seventh-day Adventist Church is a prophetic movement with a prophetic message entrusted by heaven with a very special prophetic mission, and now is the time to shine for God’s glory.
- Pray for youths who are struggling spiritually, physically, or economically to remain strong during various temptations and to look to Jesus for help.
