Day 66 | Asking for Forgiveness

Thursday, April 7, 2022

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

 – Mark 11:25

Through nature and revelation, through His providence, and by the influence of His Spirit, God speaks to us. But these are not enough; we need also to pour out our hearts to Him. In order to have spiritual life and energy, we must have actual intercourse with our heavenly Father. Our minds may be drawn out toward Him; we may meditate upon His works, His mercies, His blessings; but this is not, in the fullest sense, communing with Him. In order to commune with God, we must have something to say to Him concerning our actual life. {CSA 26.2}

When preferring requests to God, confess your sins with sincere sorrow, and ask him to forgive them. Then if you have aught against your brother, go to him; and by the grace and strength which the Lord gives to all who ask him in faith, let all enmity, all malice, all hatred, be put away from you. Be reconciled to your brother. If you have not a tender, forgiving spirit toward others, your Heavenly Father will not forgive your trespasses. “When ye stand praying, forgive if ye have aught against any; that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” {RH December 9, 1890, Art. B, par. 13}

Heart Questions:  Are you allowing God to reveal Himself to you by pouring out your heart to Him?  Are you daily having an intercourse with God? Do you daily have some to tell God about? Are you sincere in telling God about your sorrows and sins? Are you forgiving others so that God can forgive you? As we mediate upon God’s works, mercies, blessings, love and forgiveness remember to communicate with God you have to talk to Him about your actual life.

  1. Pray for a healthy mind and the ability to forgive so that God can forgive me.
  2. Pray to have a daily intercourse with God, for Him as you pray to be sincere in the confession of sins and to communicate with Him things concerning your actual life.
  3. Pray that church members in Guatemala would understand that the Seventh-day Adventist Church is a prophetic movement with a prophetic message entrusted by heaven with a very special prophetic mission, and now is the time to shine for God’s glory.
  4. Pray for the urban center of influence that God’s blessing on the multi-faceted approach and ask God to grow the ministry and to bring the people whose hearts He has been preparing to visit the centers
